The circuit was developed many years ago and sold in a small box with a label on the front. This label gave alternatives besides two light emitting diodes: yes/no; in/out; heads/tails; etc.
Many thousands of these were used throughout the country to make important decisions. Even the Prime Minister of Australia had one on his desk for the most crucial decisions!

You will need these components
Resistors:
One 390 ohms (orange – white – brown)
Two 1.2k ohms (brown – red – red)
Two 33k ohms (orange – orange – orange)
Two 100k ohms (brown – black – yellow)
Capacitors:
Two 0.1uF polyester (‘greencaps or MKT’)
Diodes:
One protection diode (1N4002 or similar)
Two light emitting diodes (LEDs)
Transistors:
Two NPN type DS548 or similar small signal types
Miscellaneous:
One battery clip
Seven lengths tinned copper wire
Two lengths insulated hook-up wire, approx. 12cm long
One length insulated hook-up wire, approx. 5cm long
23 self-tapping screws and washers
