One Transistor Amplifier

This is a simple one transistor amplifier that can boost the output of your crystal set, giving more volume into your earphone.
You can also use this amplifier with several later projects.

You will need these components
Resistors:
One 1.2k ohms (brown – red – red)
One 100k ohms (brown – black – yellow)
Capacitors:
One 10uF 16 volt electrolytic type
Transistors:
One NPN type DS548 or similar
Diodes:
One protection diode (1N4002 or similar)
Miscellaneous:
One battery clip
One crystal earphone
Four lengths of tinned copper wire
Two 12cm lengths insulated hook-up wire
13 self-tapping screws with washers
